Descendents formed in Manhattan Beach, California in 1977. The band is credited with pioneering pop punk and received critical acclaim for their high-energy approach and witty lyrics. After several lineup changes and a hiatus in the 1980s, the band released their most successful album, “Everything Sucks,” in 1996. The band has influenced countless punk and alternative acts, including Green Day, blink-182, and NOFX. Despite infrequent releases, Descendents remain a highly influential and revered act in the punk rock scene.
